None Of This

None Of This“I will have none of this”….

My mother once said to me.

Maybe it was when I said my first bad word. I think she used this expression more than once over the years.

I think parents are saying this less these days for fear of being reported on …. LOL.

I think it happens in public schools. Teachers can be reported on by students…. What insanity….Even our nation and politicians have had to compromise when someone else comes on strong. Wiggle room is necessary to avoid decisiveness.

If we don’t learn how to say no again, then we continue down the slippery slope of indecision and eradicate all traditional values.

To make “none of this” have meaning action must be more than a speech.

Recently our Secretary of State is saying we will no longer put up with crimes against humanity. “We will have none of this”. A powerful statement with far reaching implications if meant… if backed up with action.

I was writing on the fringe recently and got called to task by a friend.

Was it a student protesting?

Or was it a teacher saying No… “I will have none of this”….

Stopped me in my tracks.

She is a Nun.
