Surf Torture

Navy SEALs - Surf Torture

“Stretch it out. Lock arms. Make that line straight! Walk into the water ankle deep. Look seaward. Keep that line straight! Drop and give me 50! (pushups)”

The water is 55 degrees. Cold. SEAL candidates facing hours of shivering. And… quitting. Just swimsuits. Hell Week is 3 weeks away. 25% will survive…. By choice.

Life has little value if there is no choice. Other nations and regimes with false doctrines denying freedoms are fake and painful.

Freedom of choice. Choice is a gift from God. Permission to set your own course. You see, without God, there is no choice… Godless societies and Godless relationships bear no fruit worth tasting.

So it is our choice as to whether or not to choose. Get it?

The Veteran of today makes a choice to serve or not. The Veterans of drafts learned that serving their country and fellow comrade gave their life value. For if you are not helping someone else you are not alive. Veterans die so that you may live. That you may live in America’s land of choosers.

Surf Torture is the SEAL’s first taste of hell. Of extreme discomfort. They have to give until there is no choice but to let go and trust their instructors. You may raise your hand and quit at any moment. Hot coffee and donuts and a shower are awaiting… as is your ticket to some ship at sea.

You swim long distances, you paddle long distances, and you run long distances. All providing the choice…. to quit or…. to Trust. Your fitness was also your choice.

The reward stays with you for your life.

Find God and you will understand choice.

Gimme 50!

Helping us search and find where we are meant to go. Helping us make a difference. Helping us not to quit. Hopefully.
